virtually every church goer claims to be saved; by accepting Christ as their personal lord and saviour, its all well and good, am neither a salvation giver, only God does that. Now if you have your assurance of salvation, which i suppose you do (and if you don't please get Christ), the big question to ask is "After Being Saved, On What Doctrines Are You Building Your Salvation on?". because you ain't saved to just settle for any kind of christian doctrine, of cos we have a lot of them, just like Paul was telling timothy in
"1Tim 6:20-21 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge; 21 by professing it some have missed the mark as regards the faith.Grace be with you.(NIV)"
You also ought to guard your salvation with the right doctrines cos your salvation has been assured in the love of Christ, he gave salvation for free, so you shouldn't joke with your salvation. one of the doctrines is TRINITY. Trinity as explained by wikipedia said it is a christian doctrine that holds that God is three consubstantial persons or hypostases—the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit—as "one God in three Divine Persons". The three persons are distinct, yet are one "substance, essence or nature (homoousios). In this context, a "nature" is whatone is, whereas a "person" is who one is. In the christian-hood today we have two claims of the God head doctrine, just as stated above below are the claims:
- Three distinct God explained to be God the Father, God the Son, and God The Holy Ghost.
- Three In One explained to be One God In Three Divine Persons explained to be three persons are distinct, yet are one .
ONE GOD IN CREATION
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
This verse gives us an emphatic knowledge on what went on during creation, one God created the heavens and the earth, the christian doctrine that explained God to be co-equal or co-existed with some other different divine persons alters the first verse of the holy scripture, God is never co-equal, he exist as God over all.
"And the spirit of God", obviously God is a Spirit, and not just a Spirit he's definitely a holy Spirit, hovering over the face of the waters during creation. That does not give us the hypotase-God the Holy Spirit, it doesn't give us the knowledge to assume that there has to be a distinct person other than the same one God who created the Heavens and the Earth. Just like John 4 : 24 say "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." and where the Spirit of God is there is Freedom (2 Corinthians 3 : 17). he remains an audience of one that cannot be seen, that is why he's a Spirit, Holy one at it, That expresses himself in divers manners. No God the Holy Spirit. At All!!.
misconception During Creation
Genesis 1 : 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
Some preachers has misinterpreted this verse of the bible, they have made a destructive conclusion that God the father was in the real sense talking to his co-equal divine persons on how to go about the creation of man, This is absolutely wrong, cos the scripture interpret itself, all you need is an obvious revelation from God, not head knowledge. We know God is a spirit, he is eternal, he has no beginning, not to talk of knowing his end.
God was expressing his thought in spoken word, and the spoken word was the full expression of his visible image which is Jesus Christ his only Begotten son, he was the visible image of God himself expressed in his thought. that's why the bible says in john 1 : 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Definitely through Christ the image of man was created, we were not created like angels, we had to conform to that visible image of God's spoken word expressing his thought, which was with him during creation. So it's never a coincidence when Christ had to come in form of man giving salvation, he was later made flesh to dwell among men, it was settled right there in Gods thought. REF: (Colosian 1 : 15-17) (Rev 3 : 14). the next verse interpret verse 26
verse 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
the bible emphatically made it known that God created man in his own image, and the visible image of God was right from his thought spoken out(Jesus Christ). man wasn't created in the image of some co-equal persons that co-existed, not at all, One God was in creation, he created the universe, without having to share his place with any separate divine person. Now we would have to check through all the people God walked with in the old testament before moving to the new testament, how he declared his true nature (True God-Head Doctrine), before checking through the historical background of trinity Doctrine. just read through with Gods own understanding.
Declaration Of Gods Own True Nature (God-Head Doctrine) All Through The Old Testament.
Checking through the trend of Gods own linage, those he chose to declare himself to, his chosen people, his chosen prophets, and workmen in the old testament, he declare his true nature to them as a one divine personality that has no co-equal. he shows himself, and spoke as One God with no other to share his Glory with, no three consubstantial persons. listed below are people, prophets God walked with, declaring his true nature. Just as they left Egypt, where they were enslaved, the moment was ready to declare his commandment to them, obviously they were under the law, he started with the most important one, because he's a jealous God, that can never be co-equal, or chose to co-exist with any other person.

The trend continues, and God was consistent about his declaration, he was emphatic about the personal pronoun "I"and not "WE", showing that he's never co-equal, neither does he co-exist with any other god. he remains ONE. ONE GOD which is the true and right nature (GOD-HEAD DOCTRINE) of God. Now did he also declared himself in the new testament as ONE GOD ? let us find out.
DECLARATION OF GOD'S TRUE NATURE (GOD-HEAD DOCTRINE) IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
Like its commonly said, we are not under law but Gods grace, right!!, the grace was given through Christ, and we ought not to abuse that grace, by accepting any spiritual junks, just like trinity, we need to have all doctrines screened by the bible, which is the absolute for every christian, and not excluding preachers. preachers preaching the word of God have to be screened by the bible, if first of all they are living an exemplary life, which after the word they preach must also be screened.
We all know the The full ministry of Jesus, how he was given birth to, even though many picked December 25 for celebrating his birth, without checking where it originated from, we all know how he went on declaring the word of God, dividing through the self righteousness of the pharisees and Sadducee making them see the true revelation of who God is, well am assuming we all know how Christ started and ended his ministry, to cater for our salvation and gave healing to the sick ones, eventually ascending back to God above.
The question to ask is does that make Jesus Christ co-equal with God?, the creator of the universe, the Father of all, note: Father been one of the titles attributed to God. After seeing God at work in Jesus Christ, the pharisees were curious to know if actually he was portraying himself as a different god that co-existed with the True God they use to know, they had to ask him in mark 12 : 28-29
28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

Christ response to their question gave the full declaration of Gods true nature in the new testament, Christ didn't come to preach a different christian doctrine of making himself a separate God, God the Son, other than the only true God, he said in john 17 : 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
Who Then Is Jesus Christ ?
“For in HIM all the FULLNESS of the GODHEAD dwells BODILY, and ye are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power”...”In Whom we have REDEMPTION through His BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins : Who is the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE GOD... And He is before all things, and by Him all things consists” (Collosians 1:14,15,17) (1 timothy 3 : 16)
JEHOVAH of the Old Testament is JESUS of the New Testament. That is the great MYSTERY of the Godhead. NOT THREE GODS, Never can we find any Scripture that declares that there are THREE GODS in the Holy Writ. If you do, you are breaking the First Commandment which says, “I alone am GOD, thou shalt have no other Gods before Me.” GOD Himself declared in Isaiah 45:21 that, “There is NO GOD BESIDE ME; a just God and Saviour, THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME.”
